It's difficult functioning as an artist that primarily works in their sketchbook and with traditional methods on deviant art. Majority of the stuff here (that I have seen, don't quote me on this) is digital CG or Photography with a Digital Camera. Yes it's pretty and holds some integrity. I just don't like my page views to suffer because I'm not some program literate person who creates bright and shiny things in Corel or Photoshop (I don't know how some people can afford those programs anyways).
This is more envy speaking because I could never EVER get a handle on making digital art. I wish I could but I feel like it's out of my reach at 19. Most people start early. I feel like I've missed the good-at-digital-art-and-will-totally-rape-your-art-any-day truck when it happened to come around. I can't follow tutorials because they leave so much out, I can't teach myself because the manuals are tl;dr. In any event I will be dicking around on programs I CAN afford on a college student's budget, and possibly posting the results unless they are too embarrassingly bad or just plain blow.
Until then all my work will be traditional in nature, and my page views will thusly be really low.
